Visit of Honorable President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi at Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib • On 23 February 2024, the President of Islamic Republic Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi, along with the First Lady visited Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur Sahib. • He was received and welcomed by CEO Project Management Unit (PMU) Kartarpur Sahib, Muhammad Abubakar Aftab Qureshi. • He payed obeisance at the Gurdwara, visited Dewan Asthan and also partook Langar in the Langar Hall. • The President was bestowed with Sropa (robe of honour) and Sri Sahib (the holy sword) by Head Granthi of Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, Sardar Gobind Singh. • He expressed that Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur is the best example of peace, love and interfaith harmony in the world where people from all religions are equally welcomed, irrespective of any caste, creed or religion. • He also visited Sikh Art Gallery located in the Gurdwara where he was briefed on Sikh art and culture by Director of the Art Gallery, Faqeer Saif-ud-Din. • The guests also made a short round to Zero Line/ Pak-India, Kartarpur Sahib Peace Corridor for a short while. • He thanked Administration of PMU for their nice hospitality at the Gurdwara.
