On the date of August 11, 2023, Mr. Jai Krishan Rouri, who holds the position of Deputy Speaker in the Punjab Assembly of India, embarked on a visit to Pakistan with the intention of paying his respects at Sri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur via the Kartarpur Corridor. Upon his arrival at the Zero Line, he was cordially received by the Deputy Secretary of the Administrative Project Management Unit of the Kartarpur Corridor. During this visit, he received a comprehensive overview of the ongoing construction and advancements related to the Kartarpur Corridor. The Chief Executive Officer of the Project Management Unit, Mr. Abubakar Aftab Qureshi, along with Sardar Gobind Singh, the head Granthi of Kartarpur Sahib, extended a warm welcome and presented floral arrangements and mementos to the esteemed guest.

Expressing his admiration, Mr. Jai Krishan lauded the Pakistani Government and the administration of the Kartarpur Corridor for their exceptional services catering to pilgrims and visitors. He expressed a deep sense of reverence for being present in a place where Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji spent the last 18 years of his life, remarking on the blessings of the experience.
